day of reckoning

National Ground Water Awareness Week, March 9-15, 2008
EPA joins our partners in celebrating National Ground Water Awareness Week, March 9-15. Ground water flows slowly underground through pore spaces between sand, gravel, and cracks in rock, in underground formations called aquifers. These aquifers supply water that is used for agriculture, feeds our lakes, and recharges our streams and rivers.
More than 90 percent of all public drinking water systems rely on ground water to supply the population with drinking water. And millions of Americans rely on ground water from aquifers to supply their private wells.

“We” – that’s you and me – who reside in Arizona have a significant dependency on GROUNDWATER though “we” wouldn’t know it from the gross lack of attention given its – SAFETY - by our Legislature, Governor, her ADWR and ADEQ…?

Through deliberate manipulation of current ADEQ and ADWR rules “we” permit on a daily basis our groundwater to be polluted, contaminated, compromised, while “we” look the other direction and when the day of reckoning comes, “we” can claim we never saw it coming…?

Oh, but “we” most assuredly did and “we” stood by continually denying any accountability or responsibility.
