powder puff fine

WOW . . . take that … announces Steve Owens Director of ADEQ as he gently administers a “powder-puff” fine of $69,000 on Arizona American Water Co (owned by one of the largest for profit multinational water purveyors in the world).

I feel so much better now, knowing that Director Owens is able to deliver such an intensely strong message to any water purveyor who knowing delivers contaminated water to unsuspecting users.

The underlying salient message is unmistakable, “we” – that’s you and me – do not have any effective means to control tyrannical abuse on the part of any for profit corporation as all the rules, regulations have been promulgated with their participation, while “we” allowed them to exclude us from this inner sanctum – at our own expense.

OK, what do “we” want to do about it…?
