General Motors chairman Richard Wagoner made a point of telling shareholders at the company's annual meeting this week that GM is serious about speeding up development of the new technology required to power the electrified Chevrolet Volt.

The very day after the shareholders meeting in Wilmington, Delaware, however, Wagoner was in Washington along with top executives from the Ford Motor Co. and Chrysler Corp., arguing GM and other automakers could meet the tougher new fuel economy standards pending in Congress.

In a word . . . it’s bull shit . . . !

As was clearly explained in the Al Gore movie . . . An Inconvenient Truth . . . US auto makers can not currently sell US made cars in Chino because they do not meet the current Chinese mandated “miles-per-gallon” regulations.

And now, GM would have “us” – that’s you and me – believe they honestly (cross-my-heart-and-hope-to-die) want to develop an electric car.
