After those settlements, oil industry representatives sought blanket protection from Congress against MTBE lawsuits by having a measure tucked into a massive energy bill proposed by the House of Representatives.

Let’s see – “big oil” – writes a $423 million dollars check – is able to declare MTBE is not a contaminant – gets our US Congress to grant them blanket immunity and protection in the form of another …

How convenient for “big oil” to have us assume our educated position and see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil. Big Oil and MTBE rule…!

Big Oil learned from big tobacco, attack, attack and attack some more the science, I mean after all it’s being produced by corporate America’s minions in academia and corporate sponsored “think tanks.”
