caveat-emptor
Upon reading this article, I concluded that were I to find myself in a similar situation, I too, might conclude this situation and condition ought to have been “noticed” and disclosed to me prior to my purchase of the home. While certainly potentially emotionally unpleasant, thank goodness, it is not life or health threatening.
Compare this to the ADEQ sanctioned and mandated bogus residential resale septic certification certificates handed out like lottery tickets to totally unsuspecting buyers – caveat-emptor – the only salient value of this magic piece of paper is that it can be used like the old Sears catalog when outhouses were prevalent.
And yes, there is a health issue when these bogus ADEQ certificates allow malfunctioning residential septic systems to be transferred to unsuspecting new buyers. And yes, our Arizona Real Estate community is aware of this issue. And yes, our Arizona Dept of Environmental Quality is aware of this issue. And yes, all the individual County Environmental Health Depts are aware of the issue.
And, NO, none of them give a damn.
Why should they, you don’t give a damn either…?
