URANIUM & RADIUM - HEY THEY'RE SAFE TO DRINK
Colo. tap water violates health standards ..…Published: April 27, 2008 at 4:25 PM … DENVER, April 27 (UPI) -- Tap water being consumed in 37 small Colorado communities has been found to have violated state health standards, state records show. Colorado State records show the tap water supply, which is used by 30,000 Colorado residents, had levels of naturally occurring uranium and radium radionuclide higher than current standards, The Denver Post reported Sunday. "When you've got a couple million customers tied in, you can afford treatment," the regional drinking water program chief said. "But if you have 100 people … treatment is very expensive." The new standards for radium in tap water are anything more than 5 picocuries of radiation per liter, while 30 micrograms of uranium in a liter of water is the maximum level. Higher levels of both radioactive elements would place Colorado residents at a higher risk for both kidney damage and cancer, the Post said.
“We” don’t need or want to know do we…?
One might wonder what the uranium and radium radionuclide residuals are in the drinking water of Arizona communities…?
“We” know ADEQ and Az Corp. Commission permits Arizona American Water Co - a wholly owned subsidiary of American Water Works Company, Inc., which has recently been purchased by RWE, a German multi-national company and one of the world’s largest utility groups and the third largest provider of water and wastewater services in the world. American Water Works was the largest publicly traded water company in the United States before joining the larger RWE family of water utilities. Arizona-American provides water and wastewater services to more than 230,000 Arizonans including Sun City and Sun City West, the Town of Youngtown, Surprise, the southern half of Paradise Valley, a small portion of western Scottsdale, Bullhead City, Lake Havasu City and surrounding areas and Tubac – to merely disconnect any sources of pollution from its distribution system, treating to an undisclosed standard and then dumping the contents of these same sources back into the Arizona Canal the source of origin for water for the City of Phoenix and Glendale.
A classic example of corporate manipulation of the old shell-game of black magic where oversight is provided by illusionists - Houdini and David Copperfield…?
