IT will be fixed when we choose to honorable and ethically treat all forms of power generation equally.

Headlines like this one appearing in the Sunday – 9-7-08 – Arizona Republic serve to point out the hypocrisy of our current system … solar demand exceeds supply as manufacturers, installers see rush for panels before credits expire …

While our Arizona Corp Commission continues to permit all corporate power generators in our state to increase the fee for the power they choose to supply, by our choice we will punish anyone who dares choose a path getting themselves “off-the-grid.” Why…?

We have chosen to grant to all corporate power generators many forms of tax breaks and relief, while we choose not to provide those same credits for those seeking to install solar and wind power, why…? Does not revealing these choices manifest the duplicity inherent within our current power generation regulatory system..?

You don’t believe, do you, APS or SRP or TPE or any other corporate, private or municipal utility in our state pays 100% of all the cost associated with production of the power they sell to you and me…? We appear patently oblivious to the “externalities” which corporate power generators pass forward to you and me and those generations yet unborn which shall be paid in full.

Why do we choose to reward corporate greed while punishing the individual who chooses an “alternative” course of action…?
