President Bill Garfield says they taste quality, safety and reliability in each refreshing sip. With tougher federal drinking water standards that went into effect in 2006, each glass of water poured meets higher levels of safety and quality. "The first thing people should know about their water is that it's safe," Garfield said. "It's tested to ensure that it's safe and meets federal standards." Besides the Casa Grande area in western Pinal County, the company also serves Coolidge, Stanfield and Arizona City. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, about 90 percent of Americans receive drinking water from a public drinking water system.

And who provides oversight of these operations – none – other than Steve Owens, Director of the do nothing ADEQ. Hey, but, Steve’s rumored to be angling to make another run at a political office. I mean after all, during his leadership ADEQ steadfastly protected the mines, big AG, big water users, oops…

Who is looking at these public drinking water systems for you…? NO ONE, you’re really on your own as this industry like most in Arizona is “self” regulated. The EPA during Mr. Bush’s term in office has essentially been neutered and “corporate” America is safely at the wheel steering us into ?????

Your water is safe, this is the first mantra all water purveyors, government regulators, legislators, public officials and our Governor utter without any actual knowledge of the situation.
