it is dangerous to be right when your government is wrong

Outspoken scientist dismissed from panel on chemical safety Los Angeles Times - By Marla Cone - Feb 29, 2008 (News Report) Deborah Rice, an award-winning toxicologist, was removed from a group of experts researching a widely-used flame retardant after industry lobbyists complained that she was biased.
Toxicologist Deborah Rice was appointed chair of an EPA scientific panel reviewing the chemical a year ago. Federal records show she was removed from the panel in August after the American Chemistry Council, the lobbying group for chemical manufacturers, complained to a top-ranking EPA official that she was biased.

When everyone is against you, it means you are absolutely wrong -- or you are absolutely right. Albert Guinon

I do not know Ms. Rice and assuming the authenticity of her credentials it would certainly appear that her tenacity to “defy” the corporate propaganda would most assuredly lead to her downfall and demonization.

Anyone remember anyone who defied the current Bush administration and came out a hero…?

Bravo … for Ms. Rice in standing her ground against a powerful corporate financed lobbying group the American Chemistry Council. This council promotes the adage provided in 1935 by DuPont … "Better Things for Better Living...Through Chemistry." Since 1999, their slogan has been "The miracles of science". And most assuredly, they desire only to achieve what is in your best long term health, yea, right…?

As Ms. Rice found out …. “It is dangerous to be right when the government is wrong.” Voltaire
