did this solution give you the warm fuzzies

Did firm flush contaminated water after Valley TCE scare?
Reported by: EastValleyTribune.com Last Update: 2/14 6:14 am
State environmental regulators Wednesday accused private utility Arizona American Water Co. of illegally opening fire hydrants to flush out potentially contaminated water after a January drinking water scare. The Arizona Corporation Commission - the state body charged with overseeing utilities - held an informational session Wednesday in advance of deciding whether to pursue fines and sanctions against Arizona American in the aftermath of an equipment failure last month at the company's Miller Road Treatment Facility in Scottsdale. The breach allowed water tainted with up to four times the legal limit of suspected carcinogen trichloroehtylene, or TCE, into customers' drinking water.Joan Card, director of the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality's water quality division, said the company released water from fire hydrants in an attempt to purge the system of lingering TCE-tainted water.

You got to admit it’s a quick way to lose all the evidence… And besides what’s ADEQ or the ACC really going to do to them … slap them on the wrist…?

Hey great, now the TCE is most likely in the river potentially in the crops grown for forage for dairy and other animals as well as used to produce those lush vegetables on your grocery’s produce counter.
But, hey, ADEQ and your Governor say your safe is – SAFE - these assurances for some reasons do not give me that “warm-fuzzy” feeling, how about you…?
