Tape 'reveals order' to shoot Vietnam protesters· 37-year-old recording of Kent State killings found · National Guard always denied order to fireListen to 'the order to shoot' given by the Ohio National Guard
Suzanne Goldenberg in Washington - Wednesday May 2, 2007 - The Guardian
The command, as Alan Canfora heard it on a 37-year-old audio recording recently discovered in a government archive, appeared to leave no room for doubt. "Right here. Get set. Point. Fire." Then came 13 seconds of gunfire. When it ended, four students were dead and nine injured, and the shootings at Kent State University became engraved in America's collective memory as one of the most painful days of the Vietnam era.

Your government and “corporate” controlled mass media would not lie to you, would they ….?
I remember well these senseless killing and murder of unarmed students at Kent State. Many of you were not alive at the time or old enough to recall the action of our military against unarmed civilians. As unforgivable as that action was it pales in comparison to the power we have chosen by our fear to be granted to today’s military.
Thanks to the “patriot act” we have granted near dictatorial power to our current President and members of his administration. They can now, thanks to our inaction deny us what “we” were lead to believe were inalienable rights … “The term inalienable rights (or unalienable rights) refers to a set of human rights that are in some sense fundamental, are not awarded by human power, and cannot be surrendered. They are by definition, rights retained by the people. Inalienable rights may be defined as natural rights or human rights, but natural rights are not required by definition to be inalienable.” … ?
Feel safer today, freer today, find it easier to travel via air or leave or enter the county …? Think that America is deemed an honorable partner in the eyes of the rest of the world …?
Still believe your government and its “corporate” controlled mass media is providing you with objectivity and the truth…?
